Leadership team
Jason Aramburu
CEO + Co-Founder
Jason Aramburu is an experienced entrepreneur and venture capitalist with over 15 years of experience developing biochar projects in the US, Latin America, and East Africa. He has focused on the potential of biochar for its ability to repair soil health and sequester atmospheric carbon, working with farmers in these regions. Jason graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and a certificate in Environmental Studies.
Morgan M. Williams, PhD
COO + Co-Founder
Dr. Morgan Williams is an earth system science expert and entrepreneur with a PhD from UC Berkeley and over 15 years of experience in the biochar industry. His expertise includes carbon-negative technologies, forensic soil investigation, and soil engineering. Dr. Williams has a proven track record of leadership in implementing environmental remedies and climate solutions, having worked with a broad range of partners on projects at the intersection of soils, climate, and technology in 35 states and 10 countries.

VP Engineering
Larry Dodson is an accomplished executive and technology leader with a diverse background spanning operations, product development, data science, and emerging technologies. His extensive experience in lean manufacturing, quality control, and process optimization enables him to lead the engineering team in delivering innovative carbon solutions.
Matt Wilson Plasek
Head of Carbon
Matt Wilson Plasek leads carbon sales and certification. He brings deep business development and sales expertise from his experience at three VC-backed startups, most recently as Head of US at Carbonfuture, where he developed a leading carbon removal pipeline. Previously, he co-founded advanced manufacturing startup Ecliptic Industries and led business development at additive manufacturing company polySpectra.
Tracey D Carrillo, PhD
Head of Agricultural Business Development
Dr. Carrillo is an accomplished agronomist and agricultural expert. Tracey brings extensive experience in crop science, sustainable agriculture practices, and commercialization of innovative technologies. Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles in entrepreneurial ventures, product research and development, agronomic consultancy, precision farming, nanotechnology, crop modeling, and scaling up pilot agricultural projects.
Allyson Alli
Director of Operations
Allyson brings over a decade of experience driving operational excellence for small and large businesses across various industries. She coordinates and executes activities to deliver on strategic objectives, oversees daily operations, optimizes processes, and manages budgets and resources. Allyson aspires to create the conditions for people to do their best work and make a meaningful impact in the world.
Daniel Mulqueen, PhD
Chief Scientist
Dr. Mulqueen focuses on leading research and development initiatives, driving intellectual property creation, and securing grant funding. With a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and over a decade of hands-on experience in pyrolysis, nanomaterials, and composite materials, he specializes in carbonization technology and developing innovative, plant-based carbon materials.
